Even if a 32 H&R fits in a gun chambered for 32 S&W Long it is not a good idea to fire it. The 32 Long was a popular police caliber for many years. Guns sat on the shelf until an order was filled. FYI: s/n K368xxx shipped 7/59. s/n K372xxx shipped 2/60.Second, what you have is a Model 629-1 .44 Magnum revolver in Stainless Steel. The only sure way to find the serial number is to remove the grips and you will find it stamped on the bottom of the grip frame. Looks like a rather nice 32 caliber 1st model Safety Hammerless. They were also known as the New Departure or Lemon Squeezer. About 91417 of these little revolvers were made between 1888-1902. I would guess that yours left the factory in the early to mid 1890's.
